Thanks everybody for filling in our survey. As said in our last message, it means the world to us! After about two weeks we now have some initial results and we will discuss them within the team at our next meeting. To keep you in the loop, here’s a quick update:
Long time no see/read. It’s been quite a while since our last big AnalyticsCamp and almost a year since our last little outing – Fireside AnalyticsCamp on August 25, 2021. That was fun indeed. We would love to go big again, though. But as there are too many unknowns at the moment, we need your input. You know, being data-informed.
Since the main AnalyticsCamp is not really feasible given the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to at least try to organize a small outdoor meetup. It’s an informal BYOB (bring your own barbecue) meetup with no session board, no session planning nor timetable; just a chance to talk, catch up on things and see each other again in person. More info and updates on Meetup. We are looking forward to (finally) seeing you (again). Fireside AnalyticsCamp Zurich Wednesday, 25 August 20215:00 pm AemtleranlageAemtlerstrasse 106, 8003 Zürich(We will be around the grilling area, towards the southern end of the park.)
Sadly, there won’t be a main AnalyticsCamp Switzerland in 2020. But we are still evaluating alternatives.
We’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the 5th edition of our AnalyticsCamp planned for April 3rd due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. While we don’t fall under the current 1’000+ person ban on events by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health, we concluded that it is the right thing to do; especially since companies are also encouraging people to work from home and discouraging business trips, we’d rather be safe than sorry, as the saying goes. We are planning to reschedule the event to take place in the fall, but we will reach out closer to this date. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we hope to see you at one of our events in the future, be it the main AnalyticsCamp or a MiniCamp. We will announce all future events once we know for certain.
